MIPS Eligible Clinicians

If you were an eligible provider who reported in 2016, you will most likely be an eligible clinician who has to report in 2017 and 2018, but it isn’t quite that simple. For example, providers who are part of a qualifying APM will not be subject to MIPS,  but due to the strict regulations, everyone will have to file under MIPS in 2017, and eligibility for the Advanced APM program will be determined by your MIPS submission. Additionally, clinicians who do not meet the volume thresholds ($30,000/year in Medicare billings AND 100 unique Medicare patients), will also not need to comply. The chart below explains in more detail who is a MIPS Eligible Clinician and when reporting must start.
